How to Pay

Paying your Manukau Water bill is easy.

 

We have a number of payment options

Direct Debit

If you would like to pay by direct debit, please complete the Direct Debit form or call us on (09) 265 4488 to make arrangements.

Electronic banking (phone or Internet)
If you are paying by electronic banking, please include your 8 digit customer account number in the bank's reference field. Your bank should already have Manukau Water Limited set up as a bill payment. If you would like to check the bank account number, our correct details are 02 0191 0220136 08. Our bank is BNZ.

Automatic payment
If you are paying by automatic payment, please check you have Manukau Water’s correct bank account number –
02 0191 0220136 08. Our bank is BNZ. You will also need to include your 8 digit customer account number in the bank's reference field.

By Mail
You can send us a cheque in the reusable envelope provided with your bill. Please include a copy of your remittance slip.

If you do not have your reusable envelope, please post your cheque and remittance form to:

Please remember to take your Manukau Water bill with you, as the barcode is required to make payment.

Please note: All references are specific to each property, so if you move within the Manukau area, you will need to update your details with Manukau Water Limited.

About Charges and Billing

Water charges
Water charges are based on the amount of water used as measured at the water meter. Domestic customers are billed every three (3) months. Businesses with high water usage are billed monthly. Water charges are set by Manukau Water Limited and approved by the Council each year as part of the Statement of Intent process.

 Water charges are the responsibility of the land owner.

Wastewater charges
Wastewater charges are set each year by Manukau Water Limited and  approved by the Council as part of the Statement of Intent process. The charges appear separately in the accounts issued by the Manukau Water Limited. Businesses that have a Trade Waste Permit from Watercare Services Limited will have to pay a separate Trade Waste charges to Watercare.Tenants/Landlords

The owner of the property (ratepayer) is responsible for paying water and wastewater charges, not the occupier. It is up to the landlord to recover charges from any tenants.

Under or over charged?
We take great care to ensure that the meter readings and the accounts are accurate. However if your account has been either overcharged or undercharged an amended account will be sent to you. If you believe there is an error in your statement/invoice, please contact us.

Ways to reduce your bill
You can reduce your bill by using water wisely. Tips on how to save water are available from us on request.

Final bills/Transfer of ownership
You must apply in writing, by fax or by e-mail, before leaving your property for a final account.  A fee for this service will be charged.

Late Payment Fee
Default Interest and Adminstration Fee

If you do not pay the full amount which you owe us by the due date, Manukau Water Limited may charge you default interest and adminsitration fees as outlined in the Customer Contract.
