Network Growth Charge
Manukau Water Limited has a Network Growth Charge (NGC) to ensure
the city can continue to upgrade and develop its water and
wastewater networks to provide for growth.
As Manukau grows, so does the demand on our water and wastewater services. It is estimated that over the next 10 years some 20,000 new dwellings and many commercial buildings will be constructed. This development will put significant pressure on our infrastructure.
The NGC means the necessary upgrades will be paid for by people who increase demand on the system, and will not put the burden of costs on existing customers or leave them to the next generation.
